Longboards

Unlike a regular skate decks, longboards do not have raised kicktails. They are also unsuitable for practicing street tricks – the sheer length of them makes it extremely difficult to perform ollies. However, longboard decks have large wheels and flexibility which gives street-riding extra smooth and fluid.

Longboards have two different shapes, depending on how they’re bent. Boards that have a concave shape (when looked at from the side) are called “rockers”–these decks give a rider the sensation of being cradled. Convex boards possess “camber” and these give the rider more pop and a little more control.
